Health Care Foundation Launches Fall Flowers Fundraiser in Support of the Comfort in Care™ Program

St. John’s, NL - The Health Care Foundation is excited to announce the launch of Fall Flowers, a fundraising event in support of the Comfort in Care™ program.

“Leading into Thanksgiving, the Health Care Foundation will be selling beautiful floral arrangements in support of Comfort in Care™,” said Debbie Patten, Chair of the Health Care Foundation’s Board of Directors. “Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful, and a time to reflect on the needs of others. Fall Flowers provides an opportunity to give back and make someone’s care experience as positive and comfortable as possible.”

During the first week of October, gerbera daisy arrangements designed by the Flower Studio will be sold at various locations in St. John’s. Each arrangement will be offered in traditional fall colours and will be available for purchase at a cost of $20 each.

“We want to thank the Flower Studio for collaborating with us on this initiative to provide comfort to patients,” said Paul Snow, President and CEO, Health Care Foundation. “Comfort items enhance the care experience of patients and families; no one looks forward to being a patient at the hospital, but items like blanket warmers, sleeper chairs and televisions can make patients feel more at home.”
