Fundraising Projects & Events
Many of the loyal supporters of the Health Care Foundation are the physicians and staff who see first-hand the importance of donor funding to our hospitals. The Health Care Foundation conducts several specific projects for our staff and physicians:
Lotto1 Staff Lottery
This bi-weekly lottery is a favourite with staff and proceeds support the fundraising goals of the Health Care Foundation. Signing up is easy. Just fill out the form (see link below) and send to the Payroll Department of Eastern Health, as per the address on the form. Winner's names are published on the Meditech System as well as the Eastern Health intranet.
Staff Payroll Deduction Forms
The Health Care Foundation is grateful to count many Easter Health physicians and staff as loyal donors. Many of these donors enjoy the convenience of payroll deduction. All that is required is to complete and fax/send the form below to the Eastern Health Payroll Department. Your accumulated donations are reflected on your employee T4 form for added convenience.
Comfort in Care Education Event
A committee of health care staff assisted with the first Comfort in Care Education Day, which was held in October 2009. The event provided a forum to share and learn new ideas relating to patient comfort and care. We hope those who attended, our caregivers, left the education day feeling inspired. We sincerely thank all who so graciously gave of their time to assist in organizing this event.
Breakfast with Santa
The Health Care Foundation staff and volunteers bring Christmas tidings to staff of the St. John's adult hospitals each year. A scrumptious breakfast is prepared by the Dietary and Catering staff of Eastern Health and served to staff. Even Santa takes time from his busy schedule to pass along his appreciation to our staff and physicians and to hand out prizes and treats!
