Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Proudly sponsored by Canadian Medical Products and SCA Personal Care, the Foundation's Annual Charity Golf Tournament is one of the largest and most entertaining tournaments in Newfoundland and Labrador. We continue to find innovative ways to ensure our players and supporters have a fabulous golf experience while reaching our fundraising goals.
The 2010 tournament was held at The Wilds at Salmonier River on June 17. Under sunny skies, our participants had a fantastic day on the course. As a result of the generosity of our tournament and dinner sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers, more than $106,000 was raised (net) to support our the Give from the Heart cardiac campaign. provincial Cardiac Care Program. We look forward to seeing you at the 2011 Tournament next June!
The Hearty Feast
In 2008, the Foundation introduced a pre-tournament dinner known as the Hearty Feast that is proudly presented by Johnson Insurance. Due to the resounding success of the first event, it has become an annual event that kick-starts our golf tournament to provide participants with an evening of fun and entertainment.
On June 16, 2010, a traditional Newfoundland 'kitchen party' was held with emcee and live auctioneer Chris O'Dea, and local roots band, Siochana. The 2010 Hearty Feast was held at the Holiday Inn, and a wonderful time was had by one and all. Hope to see you in 2011!
